Guardian Early Learning Centre – Clayfield


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Group Leader / Lead Educator to lead a team of Educators with a focus on individual development and mentoring in education and care. This role offers you an opportunity to join a dynamic early learning group that offers a supportive peer network and a host of professional development and career progression opportunities across our network of centres and support offices.


The Centre 

A short two minute walk from Clayfield station, our architecturally designed 122-place centre provides a fantastic outdoor space complete with scooter path, natural creek bed and sandpits. Inside you'll find comfortable interiors with a theatre-style kitchen, plenty of resources and art and science area which will provide endless inspiration in your pedagogical practice.


The Role

As a Group Leader, you will have the opportunity to enjoy various responsibilities, including:

  • Leading a team of Educators with a focus on individual development and mentoring in education and care
  • Implement an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documentation and evaluation for the children 
  • Work collaboratively with educators, children and families in accordance with the National Quality framework and our Reggio inspired Guardian Curriculum 


About you

We are looking for someone who meets most of the following criteria:

  • Diploma in Children's Services
  • Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Nominated/Certified Supervisor Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate/Asthma & Anaphylaxis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive culture with our centre
  • Paid Blue Card
