Guardian Early Learning - Rouse Hill Playdays

This role offers you the opportunity to provide healthy, nutritious meals for children of all ages.

The Role

Located in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood, Playdays Rouse Hill is a small 48-place centre that has developed a wonderful rapport with their families. With a thriving veggie patch, excellent relationship with the local public school and large outdoor space, this centre provides a great opportunity to put your pedagogical practice into action.


As the Cook, it is your role to plan and prepare nutritious, well-presented, and appropriate meals and snacks for children within the centre.

Your role will include the following;

  • Develop a seasonal, nutritious menu that respects individual requirements in regards to medical conditions, food preferences, and cultural considerations and ensures children's health and wellbeing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, educators, families and the community.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework,
  • Meet the relevant standards of the Food Standards Code for VIC

The Centre Manager will provide support to you, through one-to-one meetings, regular communication, suggestions, and feedback.

The Candidate

We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

  • Must have a Food Handling Certificate.
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate is desirable.
  • An awareness of personal responsibilities under the current Child Protection Laws
  • Team player
  • Awareness of customer service and quality
