This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Educational Leader to lead the development and implementation of the curriculum inspired by Reggio Emilia principles. This role offers you an opportunity to join a dynamic early learning group that offers a supportive peer network and a host of professional development and career progression opportunities across our network of centres and support offices.

The Role

This beautiful, new centre in the heart of Melbourne's CBD is a 104-place open plan service that provides a world-class early learning experience. With purpose-built facilities including indoor gardens, views out into the CBD and nature-inspired resources, the centre provides you with an opportunity to grow in your career. Our regular excursions into the community and family breakfasts add to the great culture of this early learning centre.

As Educational Leader, you will have the opportunity to enjoy various responsibilities, including: 

  • To lead the development and implementation of the curriculum to maximise the learning and development of every child
  • To establish clear goals and expectations for teaching and practice, in collaboration with educators; supporting educators to assess each child's learning and development in relation to the approved learning framework outcomes and other contemporary theories of learning through the development of summative assessments
  • To be a supportive and positive mentor to educators to build their capacity for high quality practice

 About you

You'll be an educator with a child lead pedagogy philosophy, your experience building relationships with parents and children will be key to your success in this role. 

Along with your significant experience working in early learning environments, the following will be highly-regarded as we assess your skills/qualifications for a role with us.

  • Bachelor of Teaching/Education (Early Childhood) or ACECQA assessed equivalent qualifications
  • Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Current First Aid Certificate/Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
  • Current Working with Children's check
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive learning culture within the Centre for children, for your families and for your Educator colleagues.
