Wallaby Street Diploma Qualified Assistant

This role offers you the opportunity to be a Diploma Qualified Educator at one of our incredible child care and early learning centres. You are also joining an early learning group that offers a supportive peer network, and a host of professional development and career progression opportunities across our network of centres and support offices.

 

The Centre

Wallaby Street is a newly renovated 88-place centre with wonderful home-like indoor and outdoor spaces. We have five indoor Reggio-inspired learning and play environments and our outdoor spaces has fruit trees, a digging patch, mud kitchen and spaces for quiet play. Our diverse range of educators are passionate professionals and pride themselves on creating strong bonds with the children, families and local community.

 

The Role

You'll joining an early learning group that offers a supportive peer network, and a host of professional development and career progression opportunities across our network of centres and support offices.

As a Diploma Assistant, you will work with other educators to:

  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the centre community.
  • Ensure a current educational program is visible in the centre and on Storypark, for families to view and contribute their ideas and suggestions.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Law and National Regulations
  • Actively contribute to the implementation and adoption of the Guardian Curriculum
  • Document children's learning and development.

The Candidate

  • You'll have a love for early childhood education
  • Practical working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Completed Diploma in Children's Services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive learning culture within the centre for children, for your families and for your Educator colleagues
